A training for dancers who teach, or are preparing to. Not another course in how to dance tango — a course in how to build one: what to teach first, what it prepares, how to see the error, and how to say the thing that fixes it.
The training runs across all eight levels of the Progressive Program, A through H. Where you start depends on what you already teach.
There is no formal education anywhere in the world dedicated to learning how to teach tango. This exists to fill that gap.
WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS
Two things, often confused
The most common question about this training is what it is. Here is the short answer, on both sides.

THE SYSTEM BEHIND IT
Eight levels, in the order a dancer can actually absorb them
The Tango Progressive Program is a complete syllabus: eight levels, A to H, sixteen classes each. It was written so that nothing is taught before the thing it depends on — which is why it can be taught as well as danced.
A LEVEL
How a level is built
Each level divides into two complementary sections of eight classes. Both halves are part of one programme and are taken together — the second is not an extension, it is the other half of the same Program

ONLINE · IN A GROUP
Live online training
The full training for your level, taught live over a concentrated run of sessions, with people from everywhere in the virtual room with you.
Status
Groups to be formed. Dates to be announced.
PRIVATE · ONE TO ONE
Intensive private training
You and potentially your partner and Giselle, at your level and your pace. The fastest route, and the one that adapts to what you already teach.
Status
Available on demand, with flexibility on days and hours.
IN PERSON
In the room
The same training taught in person, where she can see a whole group move and correct what a screen cannot show.

CERTIFICATION
Optional, examined, and not automatic
You can take the training and stop there. If you want to teach the programme under its own name, there is an examination — and it is a real one.

Certification is per level, in two parts
Each half of a level — Part 1 and Part 2 — is certified separately, and each requires both examinations:-
Theoretical examination, online
Your conceptual and pedagogic understanding: the structure of the level, the logic of class organization, and whether you can articulate tango concepts with clarity and coherence. -
Practical examination
Your real teaching, not your dancing. No performance, no choreography — how you handle the material in front of students. Two ways to take it, below.

Approval of both
Certification is granted only when both examinations are passed. Not every participant is certified.
OPTION 1
Submit a Video
You record yourself teaching one class from the level and send it. Judged on correct use of the material, sequencing, clarity of explanation, and whether both roles are properly transmitted.
OPTION 2 · RECOMMENDED
Giselle comes to your school
She travels to your city and evaluates you teaching your own students, in your own room. Your school hosts a weekend master class alongside it — taught by the creator of the programme, at a rate set apart from her touring fees. Your students get the method first-hand; you are assessed where you actually teach.
Certification is not automatic. It is granted only on approval of both examinations, and not all participants are certified. That is the point of it — a certificate that everyone receives is worth what everyone paid for it.
AFTER CERTIFICATION
A license to teach it as your own
The Tango Progressive Program™ is protected by copyright. Certification is what authorises you to teach it under its name, in your own school, to your own students — with a written agreement that says so.
The first year is included with certification. After that it renews annually.

WHO THIS IS FOR
Before you contact
This is a demanding training and Giselle would rather turn someone away than take their money for the wrong thing. You should recognize yourself in most of this.

Previous teaching experience helps, not required
Come alone, or bring a partner — a partner is encouraged
You can take the training on your own, and people do. But a good deal of it only becomes clear when you try a step with someone. Imagining the other half is not the same thing, and more often than not it confuses rather than clarifies.
Either way, expect to dance both roles. Giselle will ask for it: teaching tango needs the whole mechanism, not the half you happen to dance.

A RESOURCE · NOT THE TRAINING
The Level A classes (part 1), on video
The original first eight classes of Level A of the Tango Progressive Program™, filmed as Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne taught them — the same material, in the same order, taught the way it is taught in the room.
These videos are not the Teacher Training. They cover Level A (part 1) only, they are bought separately, and they carry no one-to-one time with Giselle. Many people use them alongside the training, or before it, to work at their own pace — that is what they are for.
