About the Artists

Giselle Anne: Instructor and performer
With four decades of passion woven into every step, Giselle Anne is a world-renowned tango dancer, teacher, and choreographer whose artistry transcends borders. Trained in her native Buenos Aires, Argentina, she mastered contemporary dance, ballet, and folklore before discovering her true calling: learning the secrets of authentic tango from legendary milongueros Antonio Todaro and Pepito Avellaneda.
From the intimate tango houses of Buenos Aires to grand theaters spanning Europe, America, and Asia, Giselle Anne has captivated audiences worldwide. She graced the stages of iconic productions like Tango Argentino and Tango Pasión. Her remarkable ability to partner with diverse milongueros reveals not just versatility, but a profound, almost spiritual connection to tango’s living tradition.
During her transformative five-year residence in Spain (1992-97), Giselle Anne opened Casa del Tango in Seville—a sanctuary where tradition met innovation. In 1995, she unveiled her groundbreaking Tango Technique classes across Europe, crystallizing years of teaching wisdom into a powerful methodology that would change how students experience and understand tango.
Together with Gustavo Naveira, Giselle Anne created the revolutionary Tango Method—a comprehensive methodology that unlocks the deepest secrets of tango movement and structure. They refined this Method through decades of teaching across continents and perfected at their tango studio in Boulder, Colorado. During 29 years of dancing with Gustavo Naveira, Giselle Anne electrified international tango festivals, mesmerized audiences with teaching mastery and breathtaking performances.
Her dancing is a fusion of raw strength and ethereal grace that consistently achieves the highest pinnacle of excellence.

Carlos Urrego: Performer
Originally from Medellín, Colombia, Carlos brings over 25 years of electrifying experience as a tango performer, master teacher, and visionary event organizer. In 2025, he made history with an unprecedented sweep—winning all three categories (Tango, Milonga, and Vals) at the Argentine Tango USA Competition, a feat that stunned the tango world. His championship pedigree is undeniable: He represented Colombia at the World Tango Championship in Buenos Aires more than 10 times. He also represented the United States three times. As founder of the legendary Extravaganza Milonga and Tango Marathon, Carlos has created two of the most sought-after tango events in the U.S.
Carlos shared stages with elite orchestras including Ariel Ardit and Sexteto Mayor. He taught at the most prestigious schools across Colombia, Argentina, and the U.S. He also authored an insightful book, Being a Milonguero. As former director of the innovative Neotango Dance Company, Carlos continues to push boundaries. Currently based in Sarasota, FL, he remains a magnetic force in the tango community, inspiring dancers through his teaching, performances, and unwavering dedication to the art form.
